Meet Eric Tausend, a Newfront Power Broker Finalist

As an attorney with years of experience representing insureds in coverage litigation with insurers, SVP, Senior Account Executive Eric Tausend brings a unique knowledge set to the table when working with clients as their broker at Newfront.

“Eric uses his customer-centered approach to proactively address and anticipate each of his clients’ needs in order to provide them with a clear analysis of the salient issues and his recommendation,” said Deirdre Finn, National Practice Leader, Executive Risk Solutions at Newfront.

Among other accomplishments, in 2021, Eric spearheaded a number of prominent IPO and deSPAC transactions (leveraging recent case law developments around the enforceability of choice-of-forum provisions to obtain below market terms), he deftly handled countless complicated renewal with the skill and enthusiasm he’s become known for, and he guided several clients successfully through high-profile acquisitions.

These impressive results, among many others from last year, garnered Eric a spot on the Power Brokers list by Risk & Insurance. Congratulations to Eric, along with Carolyn Locke, Dan Lindell, Matt Somma, Dulcey Lester, and Dana George, who were all named to the 2022 Power Brokers program.

What is a Power Broker?

A Risk & Insurance Power Broker® is an individual who stands out among their peers for the exceptional client work they delivered over the past year. While brokers play many key roles in the insurance industry and risk profession, a Power Broker® award recognizes problem solving, customer service and industry knowledge. The Power Broker awards program is a way to broadly recognize and promote outstanding risk management and customer service among the brokerage community.

Who selects the winners?

Power Brokers are selected by risk managers based on the strength of the testimonials they provide to a team of 15 Risk & Insurance editors and writers.
