ABD Announces Suzette Germano as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lines Manager

SAN MATEO, CA (BUSINESS WIRE)ABD Insurance and Financial Services (ABD) announced today that Suzette Germano has joined the firm as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lines Manager. As the ABD Team continues to grow, Suzette will be instrumental in advancing the firm’s mission to be better.

She says: “I joined ABD to bring a client perspective to all the ABD Property & Casualty service offerings. I want to make sure that we anticipate what our clients want and need in everything we do, so that their experience with us is delightful at every stage.”

With a 25-year career in risk management, Suzette explains why she chose ABD: “I was drawn to ABD because of two things: one, their incredible team of highly dedicated and qualified risk consultants; and two, their commitment to offering amazing client service.”

Suzette began her risk management career with insurance broker Sedgwick James, where her focus was on high tech accounts. She then joined Sun Microsystems as a Senior Risk Analyst, implementing a number of technological efficiencies in daily risk management transactions. While at Sun, she also helped form multiple multi-year, multi-line captives, driving brokers, insurers, and reinsurers to create a solution not previously offered to insurance buyers.

For the next 16 years, Suzette was the Senior Risk Manager at Autodesk, Inc. where she implemented their global business continuity program, performed an annual enterprise risk assessment, and managed the integration of over 100 acquisitions.

“We are thrilled to have Suzette on the team,” says Rod Sockolov, EVP and Founding Principal of ABD. “Her commitment to client care matches ours – making it a perfect fit. Suzette will continue to help us learn what matters to our customers, put clients first, and make sure we are helping them strike the right balance between risk and rewards.”
