You back away from the bleeding man, into the lab's back room. Zack slams and locks the door behind you."That guy is totally freaked," Fran says breathlessly.
"I don't think he understands English," Zack says.
"We've got to get him to the hospital," you say.
"You and what army?" Zack raises his eyebrows. 'That guy is effing huge."
"He's bleeding a lot," Fran says. "He's at an advanced stage."
"Is he going to die?" Zack wants to know.
"Not if I can help it." Fran comes to a decision. "Zack -- you crawl out this window. Get to Mercy Hospital and explain the situation. Don't take no for an answer! Bring help!"
"Right," Zack gulps. "Cool." He wriggles out the window, into the night.
"What are we going to do?" you ask.
Thwump. Fran slams her rack of antibiotics on the table. "What do you think? We're gonna find a cure."
