Autopsy Report
(excerpts from Arnold Post's autopsy report)
The deceased appears to have been in its late thirties, a man of medium build with no scars or distinguishing marks. Areas of the face have been eaten away by scavengers, in particular the left cheek, both eyeballs, lips and portions of the nose. The remains have been positively identified as those of Arnold C. Post. the dental records match, as do fingerprints on file with L.A.P.D.Death was caused by a single gunshot wound to the right side of the chest. The bullet entered under the right arm... (The report goes on to describe the bullet's trajectory and the physical trauma.)
Due to natural and animal activity on the body, it is impossible to state the time of death with any accuracy. Based on testimony and physical evidence, however, we can assume death occurred on the same night the deceased was last seen. The body is at least that old.
